Passionate About Your Pets
My name is Crystal! I've had a passion for animals since I was a child. I wanted to be a veterinarian, but I gravitated toward grooming in 2005! I went to Nassau boces in 2005 and graduated in 2007. At the age of 17 I graduated early from high school. I went to petco to seek out employment in the grooming salon but I was informed that you had to be 18 to work for petco. So I waited! After getting my job there in January of 2008, I trained as a groomer over the summer of 2008 and graduated my grooming program. I've worked at an animal hospital as a manager of the grooming salon, I've worked at petsmart and a few other private salons. This has all prepared me for now, as I am now the current owner of my own grooming business! And as a black woman who has dealt with many racial issues, it feels really great to not have to deal with a lot of the scenarios that I've had to endure over the years do to the color of my skin. I'm only a human who wants to make furry friends look and feel their best, and I'm really great at what I do!
